How to use an alpha map:

An alpha map is a custom texture that you plug into a simple custom material/shader and control it with the CustomTime float. Here is an example shader that you can use across all engines(I made it in unity but its the same across all engines/tools).

For the best results disable mipmap generation and set compression to none or high quality
